Study on the Educator¢¥s Recognition of Psychiatric Symptom


Abstract
It is important for educator to recognize toward psychiatric symptom. 172 professors of college, 187 teachers of middle school, 189 teachers of primary school and 195 general public were selected for this study from December 10, 1976 to January 10, 1977.
The tools for evaluation utilized in this study were 45 items which revealed psychiatric symptom.
The study results were reviewed in a statistical method to obtain the following findings.
1) There were statistically significant differences in 7 items out of 45 items in relation to male and female educators.
2) There were statistically significant differences in 22 items out of 45 items in relation to educators and general public.
3) There were statistically significant differences in 25 items out of 45 items in relation to professor of college and teacher of primary school.
4) There were statistically significant differences in 25 items out of 45 items in relation to professor of college and teacher of middle school.
5) There were statistically significant differences in 31- items out of 45 items in relation to professor and general public.
6) There were statistically significant differences in 17 items out of 45 items in relation to teacher of middle and general public.
7) There were statistically significant differences in 11 items out of 45 items in relation to teacher of middle school and teacher of primary school.
8) There were statistically significant differences in 11 items out of 45 items in relation to teacher of primary school and general public.
